Water analysis system
Article Abstract:
Palintest USA has unveiled the Photometer 7000SE water analysis system for the rapid measurement of more than 60 water quality parameters. The Photometer 7000SE has been designed to analyze all major naturally occuring inorganic constituents of water as well as water treatment additives and pollutants. The device is lightweight and battery-powered, allowing it to be used in a plant room, laboratory or in the field. It can log up to 250 test results together with the date, time and sample number.

Waste overflow problem at paper mill unclogged by impeller pump
Article Abstract:
Pumpex Inc's line of submersible wastewater pumps was used to address a serious clogging problem at a paper manufacturing plant located in Bucksport, ME. The Pumpex K108 pump, which has a vortex impeller, was able to prevent flooding, clogging and a potential pollution problem to the Penobscot River since its installation in 1995. Pumpex's K108 submersible pump is capable of operating at 400 to 1,200 gpm at heads ranging from 20 ft to 60 ft.
