A better pluralism? The example of Louis Adamic

An analysis is presented on the works of Slovenian-born author Louis Adamic, who wrote about multiculturalism and the immigrant experience in the US during the 1930s and 1940s. Adamic advocated acceptance rather than tolerance, and valued distinctly different opinions rather than persuasive consensus.

An unlikely hero

Rodney Young survived being held hostage earlier this year when the spy plane on surveillance mission with a 24-member crew collided with a Chinese fighter plane. The U.S. Navy crew members were held hostage by China for 11 days.
