Article Abstract:
At the beginning of 2003, forecasters called for an economic slowdown in the U.S. during the conflict in Iraq followed by an economic upturn. However, despite the launch of the Iraq offensive both investor and consumer confidence remain at their lowest levels in nine years. Accordingly, in light of the stagnant private economy defense spending presents a business opportunity for minority entrepreneurs.

Women role models in leadership
Article Abstract:
The number of Hispanic women in the U.S. labor force continues to grow. Accordingly, the Labor Department projects that there will be 8.5 million Hispanic women in the labor force by 2008. In addition, there are an estimated 470,344 businesses owned by Hispanic women.
