Who rules the waves? The arms race on the Pacific Rim
Article Abstract:
The rise in defense spending in the Asia-Pacific region is alarming. The US, the Russian Federation, Japan and China are some of the major powers monitoring the arms build-up in the region. A new economic-based foreign policy, promoted by the US, is likely to ensure greater Pacific stability. Essentially, the current inclination toward a military-based approach will be lessened when the economic-based policy is implemented.

Hispanic general managers have expressed anxiety over the alarming rate with which the number of US-Spanish language radio stations has increased. They believe that the ongoing trend might cause revenues and advertising rates to decline.
