Parental divorce and the moral development of adolescents
Article Abstract:
A significant relationship was found between parental status of divorce and adolescents' stage of moral development in a study which examined the possible association of the two variables. Adolescents whose parents were divorced during their teenage years showed a higher level of moral maturity compared to those whose parents did not divorce. These results affirm the notion that children of divorced parents increase their perspective-taking by hearing differences in opinions between their parents, and that this increased role-taking is the foundation of moral judgment development.

Divorce and women's spirituality
Article Abstract:
A study of the relationship between spirituality and divorce using the data collected from interviews with 12 women and scores from the Spiritual Well-Being Scale reveals that divorce has an impact on spirituality and 83% of respondents feel that divorce strengthened their spirituality. Discontent, personal growth and affirmation are three common experiences of all respondents. Health care providers should recognize the importance of spirituality as a healing factor in divorce related cases.
