Working with poor families - lessons learned from practice
Article Abstract:
The families in poverty [ FIP ] program by the Mcknight foundation, which focused on parenting skills and family stability showed that people's reactions to other people depended on the way in which they were treated. Participants were very responsive to the foundation staff's behavior, they improved their life styles, joined adult education programs and reduced social isolation.
