Support networks and adjustment among 6 to 11 year-olds from maritally-disrupted and intact families
Article Abstract:
A study of 191 children, consisting of 71 from disrupted homes and 120 from intact families all aged between 6 and 12 years, showed that children from broken families have larger networks than those from normal families. Significant among the members of the network were non-relatives of the children, though the children identified those adults as conflict sources. Female children of divorced parents claimed more widespread networks in which they were active.

Social support: the provider's perspective
Article Abstract:
Social support for divorced women comes in varied forms from different sources. A study of 157 women interviewed 3 and 5.5 months after divorce identified their primary support sources. The sources were spoken to thrice in two years about the support provided and reciprocal expectations. Availing was identified as the most helpful of the support types, and intruding as the least.

The impact of parental divorce on college adjustment
Article Abstract:
A three part survey was conducted to gauge the effects on a student's adaptability of natural parent marital status, custodial parent marital status, and the age of the student at time of parental divorce. Adjustment scores showed that parent marital status was immaterial while the subject's age during divorce was relevant to adjustability.
