The incidence and frequency of marital sex in a national sample
Article Abstract:
The frequency of sex changes over a couple's life course. A study based on the 1988 National Survey of Families and Households reveals this to be the case. It examines the rate of sex and its dependence on socio-cultural norms. The study confirms that the sexual urges of couples change with time and reduce with age. Psychological contentment with marriage is yet another concern for couples that shapes their sexuality. Involvement with familial responsibilities and children also change the attitude toward sex for married couples.

Just how do I love thee?: Marital relations in urban China
Article Abstract:
The quality of marriage is continuously redefined by spouses and is potentially critical to the overall experience of family life. Most research on marriage quality concentrates on Western families, so a study of marriage and family in China was undertaken. Characteristics unique to Chinese families, such as the importance of parental approval of mates and the importance of marriage type, continue to have a strong influence on the patterns of marriage quality.
