Consumers can reuse old socks, mesh produce bags, pillowcases, styrofoam trays, pantyhose, water and milk jugs, and fabric-softener sheets. Used fabric-softener sheets, for instance, can be used to dust television screens, shine shoes or make suitcases smell fresh.
