Article Abstract:
A vast collection of experimental wines of California from the 1930s to the present is housed at UC Davis. The collection tells the history of winemaking in the state. Ernie Farinias, the university's wine chemistry teacher, hosted a recent tasting.

Blazing bottles: funny man Mel Brooks is as serious about wine as he is about movies

Noted comedian and filmmaker Mel Brooks has been an avid fine wine collector and drinker since 1968 when he had his first taste of Burgundy. Brooks has around 800 bottles stored in his cellar.
