The 1995 California Pinot Noirs are not quite as good as the 1994 vintage, but they are still very good. Wines are rated on a scale of one to 100, with tasting notes and prices provided. A 1995 Babcock Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir at $30 is rated 91.

Revisiting 1990 and 1986 California Pinot

California Pinot Noir should be aged for about six years for maximum flavor. Many of the 1990 Pinot Noirs are excellent, and some from the 1986 vintage are very good. Wines are rated on a scale of one to 100, with tasting notes and prices provided.

The 1993 vintage of California Pinot Noir was good but not nearly the quality of 1992 or 1994 vintages. Poor weather contributed to the grape crop size and quality. Pinot Noir is the most challenging grape to grow and vinify.
