Thirteen US restaurants that serve good food and carry a selection of fine Italian wines are profiled. Fidelia in Manhattan, Berta's Chateau in Wanaque, NJ, La Familia in Philadelphia, PA, and Valentino in Santa Monica, CA, are among restaurants rated.

Champagne Bollinger will now only market its recently disgorged Champagne to Americans who belong to the 'Bollinger Collectors' Circle.' The French Champagne house cited concern with the manner in which its wine was being stored by US wine sellers.
