Cornell's School of Hotel Administration offers a Beverage Management class at which students learn to appreciate and evaluate fine wines. Many famed restaurateurs are graduates. Several generous donors have provided wines and other spirits for the students to taste.

An autumn in Bordeaux

A journalist recalls his first exposure to fine wines. He took a trip to Bordeaux in 1970 to produce a segment on the harvest for the Today Show. He was able to taste many excellent samples but did not know how lucky he was at the time.
