Another stellar year for Syrah

California wines made from Syrah has found a very nice niche and consumers have a very real and genuine appreciation for it. Syrah is precocious in warm climates, where it makes fruity, early-drinking and alcoholic wines from huge crops and performs better in cooler climates, where it displays more austerity, structure and concentration, producing wines that merit cellaring.
