Fresh Samantha of Saco, ME, a manufacturer of premium and all-natural vegetable and fruit juices, places emphasis not only on offering consumers healthy beverages, but on ensuring the safety of its products as well. Fresh Samantha is a participant in the pilot Hazard Analysis Critical Control program of the Food and Drug Administration. The Hazard Analysis Critical Control initiative is aimed at supplying the data needed for the creation of a regulatory system that will ensure product safety during the manufacturing process for food products.

China Green tea comes to Cincinnati as Tradewinds gust to new products

Cincinnati, OH-based Schoenling Brewing Co. has launched a new Tradewinds line of China Green Tea with Honey beverage touted as being kettle-brewed. The newest tea addition was prompted by more than $20 million in green tea sales in the US just in 1997, an excellent indicator of the current popularity of the category. Paul Abrams of Schoenling Brewing said the company is following the trends being presented by the market, but is producing better and genuine products with real tea and real varietal juices.
