Casino doubles profits in first half after three difficult years
Article Abstract:
Casino of France, a retailer, reported profits up 103.6% to 114 million French francs in the first half, and has denied rumours that Jean-Charles Naouri, a chief shareholder, is planning to sell the 26% stake in the company. The profit increase is attributed to improved stock management and cost controls, and improved competitiveness of the company's fascias.
