Article Abstract:
The popularity of Italian wine and foods in the Bay Area has led many Napa Valley winemakers to develop Italian-style California wines they are calling 'Cal-Italian'. None of these wines rate outstanding scores yet, but these Italian varietals should continue to develop in the coming years. A list of the top-scoring Cal-Italian wines is included.
