A wine collector reveals the mistakes he had made over a period of three decades, throwing good money at what he had thought were good, through a diary. His experiences has taught him the lesson that the most important part of wine is what one does not have, or what one's friends have, but the persons with whom one shares his wine with.

This scary market trends results in people stockpiling other wines such as Pinot Noir, which have to be considered as alternatives for very expensive wines.
