A wine taster considers himself a modern traditionalist in choice of wines, and describes his foundational education in wine, which he got through tasting varieties of wine from the 1980s. He believes that some classic wines influence wines of the New World, which also influence the classics with good quality wines, thus enabling diversity in the wine world to accommodate various kinds of wine.

Paris tasting reconsidered

Article Abstract:

The Paris Tasting was intended to demonstrate the progress of California wines by showcasing small wineries that few knew existed. It was assumed that California did not have any aged wines worthy of consideration but California remains one of the world's leading wine producing regions.
