The Friuli, Veneto and Trentino-Alto Adige regions of northeast Italy offer a wide variety of wine flavors. They include varietals and blends familiar to Americans, such as Cabernets, Chardonnay, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, as well as Amarone, Pinot Grigio, Valpolicella, Bardolino, Soave and Tocai.

Great wines for big parties
