Paribas to sell Saupiquet stake?
Article Abstract:
The Paribas bank may sell its 37.1% share in Saupiquet of France, a canned seafood group. It has already sold several food and drink operations owned by Compagnie de Navigation Mixte, including the De Venoge Champagne business and the CFS sugar group. Saupiquet is the market leader, although Heinz subsidiary StarKist is a serious competitor and is a leading contender to purchase the company.
