Return to form
Article Abstract:
The 2004 vintage of the wines of the Loire Valley mark a return to form, with the white showing clear definition and bright minerality and the reds being solid with crisp, bright acidity, after a bad 2003 vintage year. The whites of the Loire wines are not as flattering as Chardonnay, and the red Loire wines are not as big as Cabernet sauvignon, but the key to appreciating them is recognizing their distinctiveness.
