Top wines sold for good prices at Sotheby's Oct 12, 1996, wine auction. Nebuchadnezzars of 1985 and 1989 Chateau Mouton-Rothschild each sold for $33,350. Several good values are also discussed, such as a 1990 Stony Hill Chardonnay that sold for $374 a case.

Good deals on Bordeaux were available at the Oct 16, 1996, Sotheby's auction. Cuban cigars, a variety of wines, vintage Port and other liquor garnered $$1,269,000. Cigar sales were brisk, and wine prices were within estimates.
