Article Abstract:

A 'difficult' wine is considered as a wine that stretches the beholder, forcing him to reconsider the possibilities of a grape or a district and are not always immediately understandable. Burgundy's Auxey-Duresses, both red and white, Cabernets from Wing Canyon and Mayacamas on Mount Veeder and Kongsgaard Chardonnay, grown above the town of Napa, are some of the difficult wines.

Are we wine hip yet?

Article Abstract:

A wine makes a hip because of the combined effect of an audience's sense of discovery, the sheer goodness of the discovery itself and a critical mass of producers sufficient to suggest that a new wine phenomenon has revealed. Australian Riesling fulfills these criteria and the one from Clare and Eden valleys are found to be phenomenally good.
