Butch and Dirty Harry?
Article Abstract:
Celis Brewery, the Austin, TX-based brewer of Clint Eastwood's Pale Rider Ale, is promoting the brand with an advertisement that takes good-natured fun at leading condiment maker Paul Newman. The advertisement features the line 'You didn't expect Clint Eastwood to make a salad dressing, did you?' Present distribution of the ale is only in a few western states, but Celis Brewery says it is already planning to expand. The brewery has also started a big promotion to generate a stronger bond between the city of Austin and the brewery. Billboards posted along important highways feature the line 'Refreshingly Austin,' along with images of the brewery's most popular brands.

Painted ladies
Article Abstract:
Campari has come up with billboards featuring nude models body-painted in Campari-red to promote its Campari & Orange Juice cocktail and its classic Italian aperitif. The bodily-painted models are 'strategically covered' with orange slices and peels. The body-painting was done by Joanne Gair, who also bodily-painted the nude Demi Moore for a Vanity Fair cover. Photography was executed by Matthew Rolston. The $4-million outdoor campaign will be put up in billboards, bus shelters, wall and bus advertisements, as well as in Max Racks postcards.
