Two hundred sixty Oregon wines are rated on a scale of one to 100, with tasting notes and prices provided. The 1996 and 1997 vintages are very good. Cabernet and blends, Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Noir and other wines are rated.

Article Abstract:
About half of the 217 Oregon wines evaluated rated 85 points or better, and the overall quality of the wines improved from a 1995 evaluation. The wines include 45 pinot noirs, 30 chardonnays, 13 pinot gris and 5 dessert wines.
