The Napa Valley Wine industry has become rather like the NBA in that the wine region started small, and by marketing and a switch to aggressive business tactics became a powerful organization. Organizations such as Robert Mondavi Corp. have started out small, but have become very lucrative and the prices for the regions wines have skyrocketed.

What makes a wine a landmark
Article Abstract:
A great wine must offer the drinker more than good taste alone. Many very good wines, particularly Chardonnays, taste too much alike, and a great wine must be distinctive. The site should be identifiable. Burgundies are also discussed.
