Helen Turley, a Georgia native got a job in the lab at Robert Mondavi Winery in 1977 and in 1984 she became winemaker at B.R. Cohn, where she began to build a reputation with the rich Olive Hill Cabernets from Sonoma Valley. With the help of three women and Wetlaufer, who oversees viticulture, consults for a handful of small producers that concentrate on single-vineyard projects.
