Diet, lifestyle, and colorectal cancer: is hyperinsulinemia the missing link?
Article Abstract:
Lifestyle factors associated with colorectal cancer risk are not clear. However one hypothesis suggest that obesity, physical inactivity, consumption of alcohol and a typical western diet are associated with insulin resistance and hyperinsulinemia and hyperinsulinemia, which may stimulate the growth of colorectal tumors.

In a study to understand the mechanisms of viral emergence, two possibilities may exist: the decreased immune response may allow selection of a more virulent viral strain or direct oxicative damage of viral RNA can increase mutations that enhance virulence.
