Biomarkers for establishing a tolerable upper intake level for vitamin C
Article Abstract:
Recommendations for an upper intake limit of vitamin C is currently not forthcoming. High doses of Vitamin C supplementation of 2 to 4 grams per day are deemed safe. The Panel on Dietary Antioxidants and Related Compounds are evaluating the safety of high doses of vitamin C as well as possible adverse reactions to the supplement.

Uncoupling proteins: beyond Brown adipose tissue
Article Abstract:
Involuntary energy expenditure may contribute to obesity. Uncoupling proteins may may play a significant role in the the expenditure and regulation of energy balance. Further research will determine if obesity can be explained by variations in the uncoupling protein gene family.
