Demand for gypsum-fiberboard (GFB) in the construction sector is increasing due to its properties and low cost of installation. Moisture resistance, thermal conductivity, good workability and soundproofing properties are boosting the use of GFB in diverse building projects. GFB is a reinforced, low-cost building panel used in residential, institutional or commercial buildings.

Converting wet-process plant to HDF proved total success
Article Abstract:
German hardboard producer Homanit GmbH & Co converted from a wet-process plant to a high-speed continuous dry high-density fiberboard line. The conversion resulted in improved board quality, and production output increased more than 75% beyond the new plant's design capacity of 225 m3/day. Additional details on the design and operations of Homanit's new plant are presented.
