BC offers MB forests to pay for parkland
Article Abstract:
The government of British Columbia has reached an agreement with MacMillan Bloedel Ltd to give the company harvesting rights to 50,000 acres of public timberland. This action was initiated to comply with BC's Forest Practices Act requiring compensation of forest companies deprived of more than 5% of their logging rights. The deal is expected to support the government's efforts to improve the economic situation of the province.

Internet can help forest companies boost their product marketing potential through website use. Efficiently developed websites are able to offer customers easy access to information on companies and their products, download easy and provide the right message. Forest companies need to list their websites with internet search services to further expand their customer base.
