Healthier times at Ridgemont High
Article Abstract:
School-based medical clinics deliver care that focuses more on mental health and medical care than on reproductive services to a population, teenagers, in which only 14% are insured. Teenagers' health is often at risk, but they tend to be difficult for health professionals to reach. Clinics are in place in 608 schools in the US, and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation grants have funded many clinics. The challenge for such programs is obtaining funding sufficient to support full-time staff.

Best defense is no offense; how doctors talk to their patients may determine whether they get sued
Article Abstract:
A study by researchers of 124 surgeons and family practitioners in Colorado and Oregon concluded that whether physicians get sued for malpractice or not depended not so much on what they tell their patients, as it did on how they talk to their patients. The study noted that primary care doctors who had never been sued on average spent more time with their patients, told them exactly what to expect and laughed and joked with the patients.
