"Show Me the Science" -- A Risk Manager's Plea to All Wound Care Practitioners
Article Abstract:
The article discusses the need to maintain high standards of care in nursing homes and other health care facilities, especially regarding wound care, and notes that family caregivers have the resources to ascertain the standards. A description of an elderly woman who received substandard care is provided, and the legal consequences of substandard care is discussed.
