Out of Israel
Article Abstract:
Israel provides universal health coverage to all its citizens, using a system that combines government funding and administration by private insurers, or sickness funds. Israel's 1995 health reform law established the system, providing coverage to the 5% of the population who at the time lacked health insurance. Israel's demographics are to some extent a microcosm of US population characteristics, lending credence to the argument that universal health coverage could be successfully managed in the US.

Senior bashing
Article Abstract:
Federal spending for senior medical care is at the forefront of political debates. Many politicians claim that seniors are taking more than their share of government entitlements, leaving younger generations to pay for their care. Proponents of federally-subsidized health care for seniors claim that the majority of seniors do not have the means to provide for their own medical care.
