Planning and Organizing the Medical Health Record Department
Article Abstract:
The health care industry is going through an information explosion, and there is increasing pressure to organize and categorize this data. In order to do this, the medical records department must be organized. Planning and organizing includes setting goals and objectives, or management by objective. Goals should be specific and realistically achievable, and intermediate targets should be established. Policies, procedures and methods must be established in order to implement objectives. Budgets translate objectives into costs. Labor, operational expense and capital expenses are parts of a budget. The organizational structure of a department is the framework that ensures all tasks are performed.

Article Abstract:
An in-service training program strengthens employee performance, provides new knowledge, develops flexibility, provides fresh outlooks, and reduces waste, accidents and poor employee attitudes.
