Factoring - 'Passport to Financial Freedom'

Article Abstract:

Factoring is a financial tool for increasing liquidity and the productivity of money by selling receivables to an outside firm. Such factoring houses essentially offer credit collection, accounting and bookkeeping services to a client in exchange for the firm's book debts thus providing working capital without acquiring any financial interest in the firm's equity. The cost of factoring to the client is usually expressed as a percentage of sales with a percentage above the bank interest rate for funds released prior to the invoice date of payment. The factoring house also provides a source of credit control thru inspection of sales ledgers.

Resuscitation training: a time for reassessment

Article Abstract:

Resuscitation training may only be as effective as the instructors, students, and curriculum make it. Instructors need to be thoroughly familiar with Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) curriculums. Students need to realize that classroom training merely begins their proficiency in resuscitation. In-hospital procedures for resuscitation should be revised to allow first responders to defibrillate patients for whom resuscitation is appropriate.
