Healthcare providers are introducing the concept of cybermedicine through World Wide Web sites. The pioneering sites are mostly using the vehicle to provide diagnoses, but may expand into other areas if the services prove successful. Such services could be used, for example, by Americans traveling on foreign shores. The test projects have raised concerns about the accuracy of remote diagnoses.
