Johns Hopkins Welmer Eye Institute researchers are trying to create a retinal vision chip for visually-disabled people. University of Louisville director of physiology and packing and professor of medicine Igor Singer noted that pacemakers may eventually use microchips for enhanced operation. Johns Hopkins neurosurgical oncology director Henry Brem indicated that wafer technology may change drug delivery techniques.
