Toward effective regional trauma networks: management auditing initiatives in Ontario
Article Abstract:
The effectiveness of management audits in improving the service given by regional trauma care networks (RTNs) in Ontario, Canada, has been studied. RTNs are health systems tasked with the efficient and effective discharge of trauma care services through a regional approach. These health facilities reduce mortality and morbidity from traumatic injuries by promoting primary and secondary trauma prevention, ensure the timely provision of trauma care services and coordinate trauma care services at the regional level.

Executive leadership, community action, and the habits of health care politics
Article Abstract:
Voluntarism is a key element of national health care reform. Health care executives must lead in community action by having a vision of the entire community and by managing local politics to integrate various interests. The key political habits necessary for political reform include assuming civic responsibility, avoiding factionalism, creating alliances and taking action on local issues.
