Certifiably helpless
Article Abstract:
The medical directors of nursing homes and hospitals' skilled-nursing units are not legally required to be certified in geriatrics, and if such a requirement were in place, there would be a shortage of certified directors. Hospital nursing units are advised to refer their current or prospective directors to the American Medical Directors Assn, to take part in that organization's certification program.
