Article Abstract:
Deborah Senn, Insurance Commissioner for the state of Washington, has battled insurance lobbyists on a number of issues. Senn believes that the individual policy market is financially sound, and that the insurance industry has covered from the increased claims under the health care reforms.

Article Abstract:
Proposals that call for the merger of Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans have been attacked by consumer groups and regulators in many states, including New Jersey, Texas and Kansas.
