Article Abstract:

Business enterprises rely heavily on a cohesive team of employees and employers for their success. To stimulate the flow of creativity and to make the team solid, it is necessary that companies should conduct games among themselves to create a relaxed working condition. QMS, Inc., a manufacturer of laser printers and accessories, conducted parlor games and activities such as storyboarding, wherein the participants were encouraged to express their ideas during a company get together. Company officials were able to generate positive responses and instill camaraderie among their its employees.

Creative problem-solving: an approach to generating ideas

Article Abstract:

The ability to solve a problem creatively is an important skill to develop as problems will no longer be considered as a setback but instead, as a chance to introduce innovations that are congruent with the company's goal of continuous improvement. Managers can use a number of problem-solving tools include flow charts, check sheets, Pareto charts, brainstorming, the nominal group technique, run charts, pie charts, histograms and stratification.
