ABCs of SSI
Article Abstract:
Social Security Income (SSI) is a "needs based" cash payment program, which means that not only must your child meet the social security definition of disability or blindness, but benefits will only be paid if resource and income limitations of the program are met. The actual SSI monthly benefit is calculated by subtracting countable income from a benefit level category that differs depending on the "living arrangement" that the eligible person lives in.
