Anterior colporrhaphy: a randomized trial of three surgical techniques

Article Abstract:

Standard anterior colporrhaphy, standard colporrhaphy with polyglactin 901 mesh, and ultralateral anterior colporrhaphy are equally effective in treating vaginal prolapse, according to a study of 109 patients assigned to one of the three techniques. Vaginal prolapse occurs when the vagina moves out of its normal position.

Functional outcomes and satisfaction after abdominal hysterectomy

Article Abstract:

Many women experience few serious complications from hysterectomy, according to a survey of 43 women who had a hysterectomy for a benign gynecological condition. There were few significant changes in urinary, bowel, or sexual function and many women were very satisfied with the results.

Risk factors for prolapse recurrence after vaginal repair

Article Abstract:

A study aimed to determine which demographic or clinical factors were associated with recurrent prolapse one year after vaginal surgery. Results showed that younger women and women with more advanced prolapse are more likely to experience recurrent prolapse after vaginal repair.
