Davis, Gray
Article Abstract:
Gray Davis established much of his political career in California, first as a financial director for Tom Bradley's mayoral campaign in Los Angeles and later as governor of the state. His stunning victory in the Nov 1998 gubernatorial election in California made him the first Democrat to hold the position since 1982. Prior to his victory, Davis was widely considered as a political moderate with a seeming lack of charisma.
