Randy Moss, a football player, has played in five Pro Bowls and holds the record for receptions and yardage for players in their first seven seasons. Moss showed an early aptitude for sports, starting with Little League basketball and continued to excel at that sport as a student at Dupont High School, in Belle, West Virginia, where he also competed successfully in track, winning the 100- and 200-meter state championships.

Dave Chappelle, a comedian, actor and writer born on August 23, 1974 has built his reputation by presenting controversial material in humorous light. He is an African-American who has focused mainly on race and, over the years, has touched on subjects as reparations for the descendants of slaves, stereotyping of and by blacks, drug use and crime in African-American communities.

Lynne Cox, Long-distance ocean swimmer

Article Abstract:

Lynne Cox is a long-distance ocean swimmer who became the first person in history to swim one mile in the ice-cold waters of Antarctica in 2002. She was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in 2000, and was named the Woman of the Year in 1975 by The Los Angeles Times and by Glamour magazine in 2003.
