A tale of three cameras: one you might find at Fred's flea market; the other two you'll never see again!

Article Abstract:

Three late-model cameras are identified and discussed. The Kalimar A is a Japanese-made camera from the 1950s but is neither rare nor valuable. The Gelto D III is another Japanese-made model from the 1950s and is considered rare. The third is a Mundus Color 60, a rare French model from the '60s.

I have a GELTO DIII camera. It used to by my grandfather's, then my father's. I want to find out some history of this camera and I can't seem to find anything about it. I have found info on similiar cameras. Can you help me a little. The markings on the case say no.10724, the lens reads Anastigmat Grimmel 1:3,5F=50mm no 11676. Can you give me an idea as to where I might be able to find anything about it. Thank you

Why I hate limited production cameras; plus the world's only 110 binocular camera

Article Abstract:

Some camera manufacturers issue limited-edition cameras as a way of artificially creating collector's items. These cameras are usually of only average quality. The Tasco 7800 is the only binocular camera that accepts drop-in 110 film cartridges.
