Article Abstract:
Tips on how to read and interpret marks and beacons on boats are provided. These include being aware of the meaning of certain shapes and colors of marks on boats. For instance, cylindrical can buoys and square daymarks show the port's left side of a channel when the boat is coming in from sea.
