Printing screens
Article Abstract:
Jacobson and colleagues at the MIT Media Laboratory have described a cheap electronic ink for printing on flexible substrates. The ink consists of tiny dispersed particles within microscapsules, with an appearance similar to newsprint. It can be altered from white to black by the simple application of an electric field. It is suitable for large area applications due to the low cost per unit area, and in the future it could be used in more demanding applications, such as in disposable TV screens, or electronic wallpaper.

The artist as citizen
Article Abstract:
Barbara Streisand does not deny the fact that many of the films produced in the US glorify evil and present the negative aspects of humanity. However, Streisand thinks that artists should not be deprived the right to fight for what they believe in and present their views regarding significant issues.
